Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish

The celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism is normally celebrated on the second Sunday of each month. The church and time will either be:

11.30am Sacred Heart, Addington, or

11.30am at Sts Peter & Paul, Halswell

Parents details

Name of Godparent(s) - at least one must be a practicing Roman Catholic

There must only be one male godparent or one female godparent or one of each. 

If a Godparent is unable to attend another person may stand in as a Proxy.

Godparents must be at least 16 years of age, have been Baptised Catholic themselves, and received the Sacrament of Confirmation, and live a lifestyle which reflects the role they are undertaking.

Please Note If Godparents are from overseas or otherwise outside the Parish/Diocese they may be asked to provide a record of their Sacraments (Baptism and Confirmation).  These may be obtained by contacting the Parish where you received the Sacraments and requesting your record.

Baptism Preparation

Baptism preparation is a requirement for your child's Baptism.

The date for the Baptism will be confirmed ASAP after the application has been received by the Parish Secretary.

 

You will need to supply a WHITE candle for the ceremony.

ONLY ONE CANDLE PER CHILD
